Punk's Not Dead, the Movie: In St. Louis at the Tivoli, Friday, November 9

So, a long, long time ago, before I even lived in St. Louis, I wrote an article about the Taste of Chaos tour for the Los Angeles Times. To make a long story short, the director of this movie called Punk's Not Dead tracked me down and filmed me talking about, well, punk.

That movie is finally finished and lo and behold, is opening at the TIvoli on Friday night at 9:15 p.m., as part of the St. Louis International Film Festival. Lest y'all think I'm some egostistical blowhard, I can safely say that my hair looks insane, my lipstick is way too dark and my Serious Rock Critic voice is hilariously pretentious. And I'm talking about Good Charlotte. So my career as an emo talking head is firmly in gear.

And look, here's a clip of me, Iggy Pop and Tim Armstrong of Rancid all in a row right there. Feel free to watch and laugh. Heh. Director Susan Dynner will be at the screening, and I highly encourage everyone to go! It's really a great, interesting documentary about how old punks are growing up (or not), kids keeping the ramshackle house-party spirit alive, Warped Tour culture and more.

Tim Armstrong is not a cop
