Gentleman Auction House Signs to Emergency Umbrella, Releases Alphabet Graveyard + Bonus New MP3!

Gentleman Auction House has signed with Columbia, Missouri's Emergency Umbrella label -- home to Foundry Field Recordings, Bald Eagle and Witch's Hat -- for its upcoming, June 3-released album, Alphabet Graveyard.

The band recorded Graveyard in fall 2007 at Washington, DC's Silver Sonya Studios with Devin Ocampo (Medications/Mary Timony Band) and Chad Clark (Beauty Pill, Book of Knots).

The Book of Matches EP -- a five-song set out May 6 that features two songs from Graveyard, one b-side recorded at Silver Sonya and two unreleased tracks recorded in St. Louis -- will precede Graveyard's release.

Gentleman Auction House will be playing a night-time showcase and to-be-announced day parties at SXSW. The next local show for the band is March 6 at the Bluebird with Elsinore, Grampall Jookabox and Everthus the Deadbeats.

Here's a brand spankin'-new MP3 from Graveyard!
