Kenny G Goes "Sax-O-Loco" on the Smooth Jazz Charts

“Sax-O-Loco,” the first single off Kenny G’s Latin-infused album Rhythm & Romance (Starbucks Entertainment/Concord Records), reached #1 this week on the Smooth Jazz Chart. Kenny has also confirmed performances on two of the largest television shows in the Latin Market – Univision’s Despierta America on March 26 and Telemundo’s Mas Vale Tarde with Alex Cambert on April 2. Kenny will also perform the National Anthem and material from his new album on April 6 at The Sony Ericsson Open which will be broadcast nationally on CBS. Rhythm & Romance is currently available in traditional retail outlets as well as Starbucks company-operated locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

As a friend said about this missive, "All Kenny G had to do to crossover to the Latin market was to change the drum machine setting on his Casio keyboard to bossanova." Too true. Actually, this song is way more telephone hold music, or tropical accompaniment to a wine bar.
