• 9:30 POI Family Pic-a-nic 10:30 THE MUSEUM FLIPPIN' MUTTERS! (that's me and my cohorts. I do a funny dance and accept any and all heckles. Plus/which, afterwards, you can razz the k-rap outta me for pretendin' ta be a rocka'rolla!) 11:30 The divinie madcappery of Chico Maciunas!!! It's gorgeous, and if the rock is just too damned loud, you can kick it on der patio-zun. If you've not experienced the glories of a rock show at CBGB before, the good time party atmosphere, the "knuck if ya buck" if you will, the "hey we're all down for kickin' a good time," then I strongly urge you give up whatever lame-ass date-night chick-flick (though I love chick-flicks, nothing against 'em!) uh what are we doing tonight let's just get some fucking Rally's and watch television and get really drunk/stoned and pass out on the couch with our dogs and cats wake up at 3 am and stagger up to bed feeling like a sloth and not having experienced a fucking goddamned thing because who cares if there's lives going on outside the beautiful brick walls of our sterile brick house and come dive into the sloppy sex grindin' jouissance that is rock and mother fucking roll. • I feel I should point out that the Bluebird is surreptitiously located at 2706 Olive Street (just west of Jefferson), with a back entrance in an otherwise nondescript office building. It's easy to drive right by it, and not see that it's a club--with a bar. And couches. And indie rock kids who one day will be working white collar jobs in the upper floors of the building above, selling out American style, just like me. So don't drive past it like I did last night...twice. Keep yer peepers peeping...from Jefferson it will be on your left.
