The Jovian Chorus Plays Its First Show Tonight

Categories: MP3 Enhanced, News

Looking for something to do tonight that's not Twangfest-related? Head to the Bluebird to catch the first show from the Jovian Chorus, featuring El Evans and Shae Moseley, ex-of Ghost in Light, along with Stella Mora bassist Syrhea Conway and Heroes of the Kingdom drummer Micah Parker.

If you like music that's a bit more in the vein of heart-swirling shoegaze (with plenty of reverb-ed vocals and roiling drums), with influences ranging from the grungier side of '90s indie-pop, you'll dig this band. (Plus, they have a pedal steel player! But they're not country!) Show starts at 9 p.m.; Imaginary Johnny (from Brooklyn) is also on the bill. Please enjoy two MP3s for streaming/download below.

MP3: The Jovian Chorus, "Narus"

MP3: The Jovian Chorus, "Oil Belt"
