The Mirror Stage Releases Ten Thousand Tongues Tonight at the Duck Room

The Mirror Stage -- a newer band around town -- is releasing its first EP, Ten Thousand Tongues, at the Duck Room tonight. (Jon Hardy & The Public and Tell-Tale Heart open.)

Now that LaPush has broken up (yup, see this blog), the Mirror Stage seems poised to slip right into that band's niche in town. Tasteful, burbling keyboards, dreamy guitars and James McAnally's starry-eyed vocals dominate the EP; recommended for fans of Copeland, Secret Machines and surging pop bands of their ilk.

Take a listen and look at "Electrical Storm" after the jump.
