Greg Dulli of Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers/Gutter Twins on MTV's 120 Minutes

Categories: LOLZ, Videodrone

In the other post, Todd was wondering about love for Cincinnati (that's the nasty 'Nati, if you're from Cleveland) -- and on A to Z, our motto is "Ask and ye shall receive." Last night, I found these hilarious clips of Afghan Whigs vocalist Greg Dulli and comic Donal Logue (a.k.a. the dirty cab driver from MTV's '90s ads) hosting 120 Minutes in 1994. Since the 'Whigs were from Cincinnati, these clips fit the Ohio bill. There's a 1996 version too of the pair hosting that's just as funny.

The Gutter Twins, btw, are releasing an iTunes-only EP on September 2 called Adorata. The eight-track release includes the following covers -- "Belles" (Vetiver), "Down The Line" (Jose Gonzales), "Deep Hit Of Morning Sun" (Primal Scream), "Flow Like A River" (Eleven), "St. James Infirmary" (Traditional) and "Duchess," (Scott Walker) -- and two unreleased Gutter Twins songs. A portion of the proceeds will go to the memorial fund for Eleven/Queens of the Stone Age member Natasha Shneider, who passed away from cancer in July.

Part One; look for the James Iha cameo.

Part 2. Logue starts off by mimicking Masterpiece Theater and Dulli imitates Scarface. I could not make this shizz up.

Part 3. Now the guitars are out.

1996, Part one. The clips starts off with Dulli and John Curley sardonically noting the lack of success of "Honky's Ladder," and Logue imitating Temple of the Dog.

1996, part 2.
