St. Louis Weekend Concert Calendar: August 8 - 10

• We played with the Kickback in Champaign and they were great. Their singer has a killer voice- sounds a lot like Jeff Buckley. Tight riffs, too! If we weren't playing tonight I would be there for sure, that is a sweet bill all around. And Exercise is awesome! They've really managed to surpass the Berlin Whale stuff, which I have to admit is a bit of a surprise.

• Less important than the above mentioned shows, but, you know, still kind of fun - the Red Headed Strangers (all of us, I think) at the Shanti in Soulard, tonight, all night.

• Also of note is that Exercise, the new project formed from the ashes of Berlin Whale, is opening that Helium Tapes show. The most important show today however is still Witch's Hat's final performance in Columbia.

• Start the weekend off right... Bunnygrunt plays promptly at 9:00 at the Tap Room, and will be busting out TWO new songs, one of which I humbly believe to be the finest Pooh Sticks/Sloan/Nazz rip-off we've ever come up with. Woo! Following us will be the Kickback (friends of Riddle O'Steel from South Dakota) & TOK. Fun ! Fun! Fun! Free! Free! Free!
