Run Run Run at Off Broadway, Monday, September 29

Categories: This Just In

Last-minute show, but just a heads-up that Los Angeles rockers Run Run Run will be at Off Broadway tomorrow night (Monday, September 29). If I wasn't going to Dead Confederate, I'd be here in a heartbeat, because RRR are *fantastic.* Opening is P.F.I.C. and Devils in the Jukebox.

Run Run Run's influences on its MySpace page include: "Arctic Monkeys, Swervedriver, Dresden Dolls, early Metallica, Muse, the Cribs, Deelite, Minor threat, Weezer, Orson, the Cure, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, The Velvet Undergound, Journey" -- and while all of those are true, in reality, the group is one of those sugary, pseudo-shoegaze indie-pop bands that seem endemic to LA. To put it this way: If you're sad that Silversun Pickups haven't played the Lou since last December, were sad that you couldn't get a ticket to see My Bloody Valentine in Chicago last night and feel like Rhino's Brit Box was made just for you -- then you'll dig this band. Video after the jump.
