Billy Joel and Elton John at the Scottrade Center, May 14

• I saw Billy Joel during his millenium tour in 99. My wife made me go, and after that I was a fan for life. Billy Joel lives up to his name "the entertainer". It will be worth it to see him alone. Add in Elton John, and I hear that is one amazing show.

• I was actually forced (by my lady) to go see this combo last time they came through town a few years ago. I was quite surprised - Elton John totally stunk up the joint. He was super slow and bloated. All of his songs were sloppy and played at about 3/4 speed. Billy Joel, on the other hand, rocked pretty hard. Not just for Billy Joel - he rocked like real-life rocked! Standing up on his stool and piano all all that general rock n' roll goofery. Once is enough for me though, pleaseandthankyou.
