Euclid Sessions' First 45 Available: Steve Wynn's "John Coltrane Stereo Blues Pts. 1 and 2"

Categories: News
The first 45 recorded for Euclid Records' Euclid Sessions is now available: Steve Wynn's "John Coltrane Stereo Blues, Pts. 1 and 2." Here's what the store has to say about the song:

Steve Wynn first recorded "John Coltrane Stereo Blues" when he was in the Dream Syndicate for their second LP, "Medicine Show," back in 1984. Since then, it has been revived in a number of live contexts, but this is the first time the song has been available on record or disc since the Dream Syndicate disbanded. The Miracle Three includes Linda Pitmon on drums, Dave DeCastro on bass, and Jason Victor on lead guitar.
Remember, the 45 is being released in a limited edition of 300 copies. Subscribers to the Euclid singles club get colored vinyl, but everyone will get a sleeve printed by Firecracker Press and a silk-screened cover designed by Phil Huling. You can buy the disc via Euclid Records' website (like i did!) or via NORMF (although I can't find that link yet). The next 45 on sale will be the Hard Lessons' "Gateway City/Graveyard Shift," available on March 17.

I suggest everyone go watch this vid for the Dream Syndicate's classic "Tell Me When It's Over" -- and check out a bitching 1984 version of "The Days of Wine and Roses" below.
