Complete Fair St. Louis/Live on the Levee Lineup for 2009!

• if you have not heard of madahoochi they are a must see for any one who enjoys jam bands, their style ranges from reggie, rock, funk and a little jazz all in one they are also a local st.louis band one of the best in my opinion they also play at ciceros on delmar loop every monday as well as other st.louis bars and they play at lots of music festivals such as bonnaroo, 10k fest, schwagstock, and rothbury so if your down with that funky sound get up to get down under the arch and see madahoochi!!!

• Considering Sonic Youth along w/Nirvana & NIN are among the most influential American Alt. Rockers of the last 25 years PLUS given the fact that as of a couple of years back, Sonic Youth WOULD'NT even play STL...makes this a big BIG deal. and fer FREE Mo Fos???

• Gretchen Wilson. . . uh. . . why?

• The only thing I am excited about is Counting Crows, which is the same night as The Fray!!!! This sucks

• Jeez would you people stop all the pissing and moaning. While I like about 5 of the acts and haven't even heard of some, I'm still excited that all of them are happy to put on a free concert for us for the love of what they do. I'm stoked about the Angie Stone and Lupe shows and will more than likely hit up the Sonic Youth and Black Spade(local artist) shows....to show support. That's all they as artists could ever ask for. If you think the line up sucks....tough luck....you can't expect every single lineup for LOTL to be about you and what you would rather listen to. Kudos for all the acts performing and best wishes to everyone attending all of the shows. Summer in STL!!!

• I have played the Levee before. Some of you jerks with your so called " I don't like local acts", are losers. Still living the I want to be an artist dreamer and have not performed NO WHERE!!! I can and half the people I hang with will out entertain all of you who speak negative. If you don't have nothing nice to say, JUST say nothing.

• I'm with KBO. That the city of St. Louis is putting Sonic Youth on a stage for free means we've come a long fucking way as far as I'm concerned.

• Compared to last years lineup this years sucks. I am looking forward to a few bands, but kind of a let down overall. I thought with Sonic Youth being announced we were all in for a treat all summer, but I guess not. Guster is great live. Either way live music for free...can't beat that.

• Yeah seriously, what do people expect for free? This is far better than previous years, and adding Lupe and Gretchen Wilson are big deals within themselves.

• As much as I would love to have the whole summer be along the lines of Sonic Youth, I've excepted that that was never going to happen. Not a bad line-up considering that your task is to provide a handful free concerts that will please everyone from North City to Chesterfield to Jeff-Co. The best part about these concerts is seeing the bands (like Little Feat) who I wouldn't pay to go see, but I'll enjoy seeing in an environment like this. Someone like Sonic Youth I would go see anywhere and its a bit cooler that they are at live on the levee simply because I'll save 30 bucks.

• I'll be there on the 17th, but that's about it. The local acts look good (:

• I think getting one awesoem night out of LOL is pretty good considering past lineups. And not to mention Lup and Black Spade, while maybe not your cup of tea, is pretty impressive, too. And the 4th has three really good local bands. What were you really expecting?

• Sonic Youth AND Lupe? Those are two serious, solid acts, and Guster puts on a great live show, plus they have local connections. Personally, I think it's a good distribution among genres--should be something for everyone. I won't go to Gretchen Wilson, for example, but there are enough country fans out there that they'd be remiss to NOT include a country artist. Y'all sure know how to bitch about free concerts.
