Un Muy Feliz Cinco De Mayo

Pour yourself a margarita and enjoy the Mexican Institute of Sound (aka Instituto Mexicano Del Sonido):

More on the band, fronted by Mexican DJ Camilo Lara, after the jump.
Via KEXP:

The music is the creative vision of Mexican DJ Camilo Lara, a music aficionado who turned his love for sampling into its own art form. He also happens to be the President of EMI in Mexico and an avid record collector. M.I.S. released their first album in 2006 and their music has been featured on television, movies, and video games. Their latest album, Soy Sauce, is another daring mix of brass, live samples, and Mextronica thrown over a varied mix of rap and singing. The new album gives us plenty of cumbia-influenced dance tracks, songs about the Karate Kid, and a sweet cover of the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" (translated as "Sinfonia Agridulce"). They apparently want to make it extremely difficult to put a label on them so don't even try, this music is way beyond categorization.

¡Me encanta!
