Some cool news from the
Luminary Center for the Arts, about a few shows it has coming up in July. First, the venue will be co-presenting Austin electro-dreamers the
Octopus Project on Friday, July 24. And the next night (that's Saturday, July 25), LA garage-wobblers Abe Vigoda will headline. (Locals
Exercise and KC act
Capybara, whose
album is available for free right here, are opening.) The latter show is even cooler, because Luminary says it's "an unofficial event celebrating the first night of the
Open Studios and participating artists will receive half-priced tickets."
This weekend (July 11), the venue is presenting
These United States and
Magnolia Summer.
I have *two* pairs of tickets to give away! To win, leave your full name, a valid email and what your favorite U.S. state is in the comments. The contest closes Friday at 10 a.m.; winners will be chosen and notified by that afternoon.
