U2 3D Showing This Weekend at the Tivoli

• I saw U2 Popmart tour and Zoo T.V. at Busch Stadium. They were still two of the best shows I have ever seen. I'm sure they cost millions of dollars to set-up. It was worth every penny. I have also seen several of the recent Rolling Stones shows. They also cost millions of dollars to stage. They sucked. I would love to see U2 at the Pageant, but it ain't gonna happen. So they choose to play stadiums and bring a huge set...works for me and it obviously does for the hundreds of thousands of other fans who will attend as well.

• You're right. I won't. Mainly just 'cause I'm not a Cohen fan. But I will be seeing Springsteen in Oct. "Old dude" double-standard? Nope, 'cause that old dude *brings* it - no overhead spaceship needed. I don't think musicians should ever stop performing if they don't want to, but once Mick Jagger starts using his mic stand to hold himself up, I'm no longer interested in forking out crazy dollars to see it - million dollar stage setup be damned.

• Spend some more time checking out the videos available and you'll see some pretty impressive performances. I have seen every u2 tour since "War" and have never been anything but overwhelmed by the quality of the show (that's why I'm going to New Jersey and Chicago this time around). I have seen them with 350 people and will next share the experience with 88,000. The "old dudes" comment is pathetic...I guess sk won't be attending the Leonard Cohen show at the Fox. At what age must musicians stop performing?

• I dunno, it didn't seem too bad to me, just like live vocals - a little raw and "real", but no real cringe-ers. My hesitancy would be whether to shell out $$ to watch some old dudes casually waltz around a spaceship playing reverb-laden versions of U2 songs.
