Local Writer Has Song on Up in the Air Soundtrack

Categories: News
Congratulations to Kevin Renick, the local writer/music fan/songwriter who appears to have had a song of his included on the soundtrack to Up In the Air. (You know, the one George Clooney filmed here in St. Louis earlier this year.) Joe Williams of the Post-Dispatch has all the details on his blog, Joe's Movie Lounge -- and it's a neat story involving Renick asking director Ivan Jason Reitman to listen to the song after a talk at Webster, and Reitman making good on his word. Very cool!

[Edit: Renick writes in and says: "I'm still waiting to find out if I'm on the actual soundtrack album...I only know that my song is heard over the movie credits right now."]
