Girls Coming to the Gargoyle in 2010

• It was alright, though I wouldn't go out of my way to see them again. If one has nothing else to do, it wouldn't be a waste of time... It's just nothing really special. The songs are just kind of insubstantial to me. It's a good album to play as non-ambient background sound, if that makes sense to anyone. The Smith Westerns were way better anyways. They played that show as well, but I never hear anyone mention their contribution to the show...

• I know they were a buzz band so I wanted to see what they were all about. They were alright, kinda boring actually. They had several intense guitar breakdowns, especially near the end, which were pretty cool. Nothing really too original though. Overall they gave the vibe of a band that tried to be way cooler than they really were, which is probably why pitchfork loves them so much. Can't say that I was impressed, but I wish them luck.

• im so sad. ive been waiting to see girls live forever and its an 18+ show. it sucks majorly im such a big fan :(. if anyone knows how to change the age limit please help me out because girls is one of my favorite bands.

• I remember reading that Radical Sons opened for Girls at the mercury lounge in NYC a few months back. Don't think they had nearly as much buzz back then
