What Are You Thankful for in the St. Louis Music Community?

• I am also thankful for KDHX 88.1 and Pabst Blue Ribbon

• I am thankful for KFUO Classic 99

• I am thankful Kiel Opera House is not a museum, a parking garage or a school-but it was not for their trying,and trying hard.

• I'm thankful for venues, like The Firebird, The Way Out Club, The Library, Off Broadway, Lemmons, Blueberry Hill and many many others who have taken in and taken care of the hard-working performers in the 'Lou. For the Firebird in particular, whose management/staff let us play there about a half-dozen times this year For Michael Tomko, the man behind An Under Cover Weekend. I had the best time singing some of my favorite songs of all time this year. Each year, the event gets better and it's all thanks to Mike. For the TIRC-STL google group, a great source of humor and amusement For KDHX, whose feature The Local Artist Spotlight is always interesting - you find some amazing artists on there! For Ashborne, Via Dove, Stella Mora, Beth Bombara, Polarized Mind, Syna So Pro, The Takedown, Upright Animals, Makeshift Gentlemen, Fractured Army, Reigning Heir, Black For A Second, Bitch Slap Barbie (RIP), Tenement Ruth, LOGOS, Dear Vincent, Glass Waves, DinoFight!, A Bit Shifty, Echo Bravo, Kentucky Knife Fight, Fattback, Chapters, Left Arm (RIP), The Dive Poets, The Sham, Science Hill, Cassie Morgan, John Henry & The Engine, The Monads, The Humanoids, DICEGRINDER and so many others that i'll likely be taken to task for forgetting, but they ALL made awesome music that made me happy to be part of this scene... and last, but not least, for everyone who came out and supported live, original, local music this year. You make it happen.

• Kirk Hanser, the greatest classical guitarist in the Midwest.

• Shit, I am sorry about the plug, didn't catch that part til it was too late. Blame it on my excitement. Remove that one and I will repent!

• Thank you Marcus, that is sweet- I am blushing. I am thankful that I am still alive after breaking my body and scaring my family and friends, will never put anybody thru that again. And I am thankful that (shameless plug ahead,proceed with caution) Stag Nite is being brought back to life at the Wedge on Wednesday nites starting next week with the Round-Ups!!

• I'm thankful for good hip hop like Scripts N Screwz, Hearskra-z, and Pandelerium..and also great producers like Trifeckta and Ben Bounce!

• Off Broadway. More to wit...I'm thankful Steve bought the place and made it great. While I'm at it, I'm pretty thankful there's a Johnny freaking Vegas out there, too.
