The book's amazing photos certainly tell a large portion of the station's story. But of course, the real question is: For those of us who weren't there, what did KSHE sound like back then? Neiman was kind enough to send me some audio clips, which I've uploaded below. They include ads for long-gone St. Louis appliance stores, wig stores(!) and head shops; a story about nudists dealing with voyeurs; clips for movies premiering here; nods to Journey, Foghat and the Who and much more.
