Homespun: Safety Words, The Ghostfaced Pixels Mixtape

In this week's paper, Christian Schaeffer reviews Safety Words' The Ghostfaced Pixels Mixtape. He had this to say:

[The Ghostfaced Pixels Mixtape] takes the rhymes of the Wu-Tang Clan (and assorted solo projects) and sets them to the eight-bit sounds of the original Nintendo Entertainment System's games. Safety Words is the aegis of DJ Parisian (Ian Jones) and Dr. Phelonious (Sean Price). The latter's MySpace page claims that he sounds like "cheap equipment + Sisyphean hustle," which is a good enough equation for Pixels. (In short, if you've ever wondered what Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Brooklyn Zoo" would sound like over the music from Paperboy, well, now you know.)
