KDHX Host Larry Weir is Ailing

On New Year's Eve, KDHX programmer Larry Weir, who hosts the Sunday show "Songwriters Showcase," fell at a New Year's Eve party. Upon being taken to the hospital, his condition degenerated rapidly and suddenly. He's currently on a ventilator with a severe brain injury, and things aren't looking good. His wife, Kathy, has been sharing the heartbreaking details on a CaringBridge journal site, a public site where anyone can go and keep tabs on his progress and leave well-wishes. Her eloquence and grace during this time is admirable; her love for her husband just overflows. Personally, I've known Larry for several years -- and as anyone who's met him will tell you, he's a kind, gracious and patient man. Our thoughts are with him and his wife at this time.
