Not gonna lie: The Uglysuit has a terrible name, in the sense that it's not exactly the sort of moniker that's welcoming to listeners. However, its music is a warm, easygoing hybrid of haunting harmonies, ornate acoustic guitars and winsome songwriting. RIYL Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, Counting Crows (not a dis!) Check 'em out tonight at Off Broadway at 9 p.m.. Locals Art Majors would've fit in well in the NYC music scene circa the first half of the '00s; its British-leaning vocal affectations, jubilant synths and moody riffs conjure *stellastarr or Elefant.
