Deftones Then and Now: A Live St. Louis Video and a New, Free MP3

• This was the around the fur tour, I believe Limp Bizkit and Sevendust opened

• Lepers TV was a fantastic cable access show that was featured on channel 21 or 22 in the mid/late 90s. They showed the standard videos for the heavier genres of music but the jewels of the show were the often weird remotes (like a small town parade) and that one of the hosts often was a unicorn. They did TONS of filming shows at a variety of now defunct clubs (Hi-Pointe, Galaxy, Side Door) and featured everyone from System of a Down, Clutch, Incubus, Jesus Lizard and so many more when they were still at the small club levels. They never appeared to be tape traders so most of their footage (which was usually multi-camera and soundboard quality) never really made it out to the universe except for the single song clips they would feature on the show. They also shot the instore footage from the Queens of the Stone Age Vintage Vinyl performance in 2000 that made it on to the "Songs for the Deaf" bonus DVD. That was then....where are the Lepers TV people now and what are they doing?

• How's this for confusion? According to the archived tour dates at http://www.deftonesworld.com/dates.htm , the band played the Galaxy on 12/10/96 AND 12/11/97, almost one year to the date! The first was supporting Adrenaline and the second date supporting Around the Fur. The mystery deepens. Also found it interesting they opened for Bad Brains at The Other World on 7/19/95. I'm not even a fan of this band but I can tell from their tour history they have a lot of love for STL.

• the video is dated 12/10/96 on youtube -- but yeah, the actual video says 12/10/97. so which is it? around the fur didn't come out until late 1997, so if it is 97, then it's AtF. what is this lepers tv stuff? i've somehow never heard of them. can anyone enlighten me?

• WOW I was at the show! One thing I hated about the galaxy was the 2 huge polls about 10 feet from the stage. Thanks for the info and the links!

• Video looks like it was shot by the Lepers TV crew...one of the best cable access shows St. Louis has ever seen. Lepers TV shot so many bands before they broke...that is a definitely a video library worth searching for!
