Radical Sons Relocates, Records with Eli Janney

• Just to throw this out there, White Rabbits are from St. Louis/Columbia and moved to Brooklyn years ago (after not being able to find success locally). Within like a year they were touring with the Walkmen, playing Letterman, and doing all that other fancy stuff that bands like to do. Anyway so I guess I'm saying sometimes a move DOES work out.

• Can you really blame them for wanting to have a change? I saw them at Cicero's with Jeff The Brotherhood (before JEFF was a buzz band) last June for their tour kick off and hardly anyone was there. This is after they had been on Pitchfork and some other big music sites. No one from Gentleman Auction House, Jumbling Towers or other "scene" members were there to support them. Can't blame them for being discouraged. Seems like some good stuff is coming through for the kids in NYC. Best of Luck.

• why, oh why, do STL bands have this idea that moving to another city -- one where there is stiffer and much more insane amounts of competition, btw -- is going to be the answer to their musical careers?
