On Friday, the Dive Poets released two new songs on its website. The pair of tunes follows in the city's jangle-rock/rootsy footsteps quite well, a fitting continuation of what Uncle Tupelo, Nadine and Magnolia Summer started. Lead vocalist Eric Sargent resembles a young Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens, while the mix of rootsy guitars, and violin from ex-member Rachel Parkin never become too maudlin. Here's one new song; grab the other here.
