Yes, Pavement is Coming to Kansas City

• Is that meant to come across as the most snobby statement ever? If so, you have succeeded and are pretty funny. Otherwise, you are a douche who is, not so subtly, trying to display you knowledge of pavement. Steve West was with the band for a far longer period of time and shaped the groups sound better than Gary Young did. Sure Gary Young was a pretty good utility drummer and quite a character, but he wasn't that great. Plus, he was kind of a drunk

• Yeah, I should have picked up on sarcasm. And just know that people in KC and Lawrence are often times jelouse of the shows STL gets.

• i was attempting to be facetious, because nearly every time we write that a show is coming to kansas city, someone comments on the post that we never get the cool shows that they do. i was trying to cut that off at the pass. guess that backfired! i was at that arcade fire show. great gig. the starlight is a size venue we don't have here in town, so they draw folks we can't. simple as that.

• Plus, the Pogues played in KC and not STL...

• And just to make clear... KC has hosted some very fine shows that STL hasn't. The best that comes to mind is the Arcade Fire/LCD soundsystem show at the starlight theatre.

• Why does it have to be a competition? Plus, a STL show might be added. KC + Lawrence gets way more shows than STl, just deal with it...
