She & Him, Broken Social Scene, Jeff Tweedy, Built to Spill, Alejandro Escovedo and Airborne Toxic Event Highlight the LouFest Lineup

• Well we managed to score Sonic Youth for free last year. All it takes is some extra corporate sponsorship.

• Tony - what gave you the impression that this would be free? Further, it's important to note that those prices include fees and taxes. If you get the two day pass, that's $32 a day - you'll pay more than that after fees to see The Dead Weather and almost that for New Pornographers or The Black Keys or Julian Casablancas EACH at The Pageant this summer.

• Very impressive lineup and totally reasonable price. Broken Social Scene themselves are worth the price of admission. The Broken Social Scene show in Columbia last year was 3 hours of awesomeness. This is a great pickup for the St. Louis indie music scene.

• So excited for this show! 64 bucks is cheep! Hey Tony, when you gonna start giving your paintings away for free, bro? I'll take a couple. I know just what I'd do with them. Negativity roolz!!!

• very excited when i thought this was a free festival... not so much with a $64 two-day ticket.... the name...? yes, it blows....

• Seriously, no Cowboy Mouth, NO NIGHT RANGER?!?!?!?!?!? I'm cool with Built to Spill and Broken Social Scene, better than what I was expecting honestly.

• Tweedy solo, no Wilco...yawn. Only Built to Spill and Fruit Bats interest me and I'm not paying those prices when they frequent our city already for club shows at much lower cost.

• The organizers did a good job booking this lineup, they got a late start but came up with a good mix of artists. One band is missing, though...our own Bottle Rockets. Why aren't they listed? I know the band was saving that date. Bottle Rockets! Bottle Rockets! Bottle Rockets! etc.

• From what I understand, Tweedy will literally be by himself on stage. As much as I like him, that's a pretty boring way to end a festival (not tweedy in particular, but a guy and a guitar generally).

• I'm down. How on earth does She & Him get billing over Tweedy?

• This fest is cheap. c'mon people. everybody complains nothing comes to our town. well, here it is. let's shine.

• i know that everybody's financial situation is different, but $38 for one day of the fest is a really good price. you'd pay just about that much to see just one of these acts. she & him tickets for a headlining date at the house of blues in cleveland are $22 -- before ticketmaster fees. i'm seeing Wilco this weekend and I paid i think $40-plus after fees.

• Intriguing, but waaaay too expensive. Count me out.
