Tom Sawyer Time Machine, anyone? Canadian prog legends Rush are bringing their Time Machine North American Tour 2010 to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on Sunday, August 22. The show is "an evening with" Rush, with the added enticement of a performance of the entire seminal album Moving Pictures. That's the one with "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight." Ticket info is TBA.

Coheed and Cambria -- the widely accepted heirs to Rush -- are one of 29 bands playing this year's first Pointfest, at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on June 6. That band's next album, Year of the Black Rainbow, is out soon; a new song, "One" and "The Broken" are streaming on MySpace. Other acts at Pointfest include Motion City Soundtrack, Three Days Grace, Seether, Papa Roach, Saliva, Hollywood Undead, Story Of The Year, Hurt, Janus, Flobots, Crash Kings, Brookroyal, Shaman's Harvest, Greek Fire, Hail The Villain and Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights. Tickets are $29 and on sale Saturday at noon.
