Bret Michaels Is Still Apparently a Go for the Rib America Festival

Bret Michaels -- who had a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage on April 21, nine days after he had to have an emergency appendectomy -- is still scheduled to play the 2010 Rib America Festival on May 29 in downtown St. Louis, a representative confirmed to A to Z yesterday. This echoes a People magazine report that the Poison front man would resume touring the day before in Mississippi. Says the article:
"He's still in rehab," says the source. "His doctor told him to do physical therapy once a day, but he's doing it twice a day, because he wants a speedy, 100 percent recovery."
To plan to be on the road so fast after something so serious and traumatic is amazing, bordering on a damn miracle. All kudos to Michaels' tenacity, enthusiasm for performing and dedication to his fans.
