Silversun Pickups, Against Me!, Common Highlight Live on the Levee Performers for 2010

• Silversun Pickups are AMAZING Live, and for FREE - Perfect.

• What's up with all the bitching and complaining. Well I guess I understand a little because I never heard of Against Me or Sliversun. Or they even on the radio or tv. Common is the biggest star to on the list. He's nationally and internationally know. Never heard of anyone on the list besides him.

• If this was three years ago I would be FLIPPING OUT. Seriously though, I would good money to see either Against Me! or Silversun Pickups, and Common is a better rapper than actor.

• We are ready for the seige. We are armed up to the teeth.......

• Maybe YOUR generation but definitely not mine. I decided to take a listen to hear what they sounded like. I thought they sounded ok until the singer started singing. That whiney voice ruined it all.

• Haha, you people are seriously saying this is a shit lineup? SSPU are one of the best bands of our generation, get out of your fucking rock and discover some good bands.

• Silversun pickups will be a great show for those in the know. They will get more exposure and we get a great live show. Honestly, if you want to see the black idiot peas or other mainstream show, buck up and go see them at a real venue.

• @Clubman Nope. I'm just saying in years past, there have been many good bands on the bill and this year is a big disappointment so far. It was great seeing Sonic Youth last year but other than that show, last year's schedule was pretty weak from what I can remember. One year, Cheap Trick was a part of it. That was a good show. So yeah, comparing with years past, this year's line-up totally blows.

• This is a pretty quality lineup! I'm glad it is not some washed up performers. Pissed I missed Sonic Youth last year

• The answer is: none. We know from last month that LouFest isn't good enough either. I'm sure if, say, Pitchfork decided to transfer its summer festival here, we'd be hearing about all the lame hipster bands invading our city.

• Ok, armchair festival organizers- What would constitute a good lineup? How would you book it? I'm not trying to be incendiary, I'm genuinely curious.

• Ah, STL. The city that would find a reason to complain if LotL managed to book the Beatles and Ramones in their original lineups.

• Once again...St. Louis has a pair of FOURS in the game of music festival poker. Poor line-up.

• Pretty pleased with the lineup. Common will be a great way to kick off the series and getting to see Against Me! again for free this time will be amazing. Very curious to see who the TBA might be.

• Sadly, Clint Black will probably be the biggest draw.

• What, exactly, constitutes a "decent" act? It looks like a a fairly broad array performers (even with "TBA" still being a wild card). These shows are free - you shouldn't expect to be seeing acts you'd have to pay $30+ a pop to see at some venue. I sure hope you're not steamed because there isn't some marginal-appeal or inappropriate stuff - like "black metal" or "gangsta rap" - on the bill; if you think that kind of act is gonna get booked for free public concerts, you're in for a lifetime of disappointment. I'm surprised that we're even getting an "LotL" this year, with the economy being what it is...

• What a horrible schedule. They couldn't get ONE decent act to participate so far. Pathetic.

• Is it a better announcement than Sonic Youth? Not quite, but Silversun Pickups should be a fun show. Against Me! haven't done anything all that great since "Reinventing Axl Rose" but overall, this is a decent line for the 24th.
