Watch: Sheryl Crow Covers Exile On Main Street's "All Down the Line" with Rolling Stones Keyboardist Chuck Leavell, The Roots

Categories: Videodrone

In honor of the May 18 reissue of the Rolling Stones' classic album Exile on Main Street, a cadre of local musicians has banded together to form the tribute act Torn and Frayed. Next Tuesday at Off Broadway, the group will play songs from Exile, as well as other Stones classics. Not to be outdone, late-night TV host Jimmy Fallon has been having his own tribute to the Stones all week; every musical guest has covered an Exile song. Last night, Fallon outdid himself: Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell joined guitarist Doyle Bramhall, honorary local gal Sheryl Crow and house band the Roots for the song "All Down the Line." That performance is found at the link there; it doesn't appear to be embeddable at the writing of this blogpost. Here's 2006 footage of the Stones performing the same song.
