(Via Pitchfork) Leave it to Adidas to create the best pop culture mash-up advert we've seen in a very long time. A promo for their World Cup campaign splices the famous Star Wars cantina scene with appearances from Daft Punk, Noel Gallagher, Snoop Dogg and David Beckham, among others. According to the blog Heat Vision (which is penned by Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit), the clip was filmed in conjunction with Lucasfilm; the post further goes on to explain how they merged the modern and retro footage.
