• Publicists get paid to spin things to protect their clients interest. This is nothing more than an excuse and does nothing to satisfy their very disappointed fans. One good thing about press releases is no one can ask questions to validate that it is the truth or not. Everyone is just supposed to take it as 'fact' and move on. Fans located in the first few rows have stated that one of the opening bands guitarist was almost shat on, they joked about it, moved out of the line of fire and kept playing. I also read that workers from the venue went into the rafters while the KOL stage was being setup and attempted to get rid of the pigeon (yes, one pigeon). Fans have also stated that Jared was hit once in the shoulder during the third song and the entire band left the stage very quickly when the song was over. It is also interesting that such an infestation of pigeons resulted in only the bands being shat on, but no fans. Even if what they say is true, both The Postelles and The Stills managed to play awesome sets. You would think the headliner would have been able to tough it out for the FANS! It is good that Live Nation is going to refund the ticket prices, but as I've seen other complain, what about t-shirts that no one wants or all the money spent on refreshments, hotels, travel costs, etc. I guess the FANS just have to bite the bullet on those expenses. I was a huge KOL fan prior to this experience and quite frankly would not ever pay to see them again or to buy another one of their CD's. Hopefully, the other St. Louis fans that were also shat on by KOL will not forget this experience and will make the band pay the only way we can - not supporting them with our money. I hope all the proceeds from this event go to The Postelles and The Stills as they deserve it for enduring such horrific conditions. Additionally, I think KOL should have to pony up for the expenses incurred by the local police departments that had to be brought in to assist in controlling the very angry crowd.

While my son was over there, spending his days out in the field where people wanted to kill him, he ordered his tickets and more than once mentioned looking forward to this concert as something he wanted to do when his deployment ended. • Hey! I noticed you used my video from the concert. I'm from germany and I'm visiting friends of mine in St. Louis. Me and the daughter of my friends went to the concert to see one of my favorite bands..Kings of Leon! We were so excited, for both of us it was the first big concert. The whole trip is really expensive for a student like me and even if I paid 'only' 40$ for the ticket-its a lot of money for me!

• I would like to comment on "Elizabeth Kaylene" who has oviously never worked around music or knows what the hell she is talking about. All the bass player really needs is his board which is on the floor and he would be on a wireless system on his bass can go anywhere on stage. His board could easily be moved which is probaby on a coax cable which they tend to put extra slack in case it would rain so they could move it back from the front of the stage. This cable is probably taped to the floor which would take maybe 2 minutes to move. He probably has a floor monitor that could also be moved which I am sure he has one of those "ulimate ear" custom molded head set so he can hear himself as well. Long story short "his equipment" could be moved during a guitar solo or some witty banter to a non-bird shitted part of the stage very quickly and easily that any road crew could easily acomplish. Long story short this is one of the dumbest reasons to shut down a show. It wasnt attack of the killer birds or anything..You had a bird or 2 that crapped on the stage...big deal...Would I want bird shit in my mouth? Of course no, but you are outside and in the elements so suck it up you huge puss bags. I used to like this band and it has a lot of promise...but lets be real and this band has had 2 hit songs and they should be thanking their lucky stars that they can even get enough fans together to fill this venue let alone be big enough to walk off the stage for such a minor issue. They really shit on their fans, gave no explanation, did not tell the fans themselves, and walked away leaving this story to make its way to the internet and hit millions of people to find out how big of pussies and assholes this band is. KOL needs to put out a statement and re-schedule a free show in STL and call it "The Bird Shit Show" today. They need to make fun of themselves and this is the only way that they can make this story not haunt them for the rest of their careers. People do not like people who appear to be cocky and premadonna's and this would be a way to get past this in my opinion.

I have seen the Dave Matthews Band play there for a few years now (they usually play that venue every summer) and have never heard of this issue. I do know that medical staff are there for emergencies (do we even know if he went to get "medical attention"for this anyway?) Anyway,this bird problem has never been an issue for the DMB as far as I know.but I can assure you after 20years of touring,the DMB would have moved over and laughed it off,have some beer and keep rocking (and they have many band members and a huge set that covers the stage) this is sad to hear for all the fans who were dissapointed.
