Update on Mike Campbell, Guitarist for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

Last night at the Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' St. Louis show, much concern broke out after the main set abruptly ended when guitarist Mike Campbell was helped offstage and Petty said he was "seeing a doctor." After a brief break, Campbell did return for three songs, including "Refugee," "Running Down a Dream" and "American Girl."

I just spoke with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' publicist, and he said that it appeared Campbell was "suffering from dehydration." With how hot it was there last night, that's certainly understandable. (Heck, I wasn't even on stage and I'm dehydrated.) Stay cool and drink water!
