Stoney Rock and Nodzilla Bring Intergalactic Funk to the Gramophone Tomorrow

Petrowsky works as a graphic designer for Flying Fish Creative. His previous designs have included the cover art for Rockwell Knuckles' Choose Your Own Adventure, and, most recently, Black Spade's super dope new record Build and Destroy. (Haven't heard it yet? Click here for free download.)
Petrowsky also doubles as a photographer and artist and he created a slideshow/video production for which Spade produced an instrumental score.
"It was originally for a party we were supposed to do in New Mexico," Spade says. "He made these jumbo, blown-up projections of, I guess, his travels. I was the soundtrack for it and it ended up being a beat album."
Spade compares the sounds that accompany the media to J Dilla and Madvillain. The event's Facebook page calls it, "an intergalactic, futuristic, space-tastic funk, soul & hip hop groove."
In any case, Spade and Needles will be working the synthesizers, keyboards and turntables accompanied by a live drummer. Oh yeah, and it's free.
If the noises they create attract actual aliens (as opposed to just STLiens) someone better bust out the Flip camera and get that ish on video -- last time extraterrestrials visited for a light show and music production it was pretty intense.
