• I'd chalk up Home as just another victim of the economic bubble burst. When it was being built and conceived, times were good and money was flowing, and there were lots of people who were blowing lots of cash. Nowadays you're not likely to find too many people throwing money around, especially not in St. Louis. Clubs like this depend on VIP/bottle service to sustain them. You're not going to see much of that in a down economy.

• This is not a knock to St. Louis. I like the surrounding areas. But one cannot have the same expectations as Vegas, Miami, NYC, or LA. Totally different cities... Reality gets distorted in this "club world" very easily. For instance, a girl who works a pool club in Vegas will be upset for "only" making $1200/day because she didn't receive a full 20 or 25% tip (cabanas can be several thousand $$$).

• To thoroughly enjoy a night-out at HOME, you need a table in the large club room... who wants to stand-up all night? How many people, recession aside, can legimately afford $500 - $1000+ for 4 hours of entertainment? I am a loser who fucks goats. At least not twice per month. Especially customers in the low to mid 20's. St. Louis doesnt have the wealth, population, nor tourism to support such "elite" clubs for long. The outfits, hair, make-up, dinner beforehand...tipping waitresses 20% can run you $100 - $600, or you are considered a cheapskate. Someone please tell me where these 21 - 28 yrs olds are making $250k+ per year to afford this. Before this trend of elite clubs, a person didn't have to spend money for a chair, and could have a fun and elegant night out. I love to suck guys off.

• I have credible info that tells me Home was getting ready to lose their booze license. One too many under age drinkers. It also didn't help that there were 6 rapes reported either in Home or in the hotel after the people were at Home.

Hold on I'm getting off this keyboard an buying that place since it costs nothing to sustain it it is an entity on itself that requires no marketing cost or product to sustain no one even has to show up it will sustain itself. You then went on to call house heads sloppy? and without money. People who listen to this music are far more cultured and willing to spend money for example top shelf liquor then hip hop heads which is why the frequency in which they get shut down is far greater. Exactly people spend money to go there because there is a myriad of clubs and while yes I did compare they have those same djs your forgetting or just dont understand they tour miami clubs at a much greater rate than one and I do mean one club Home as your using in your argument.

• Well after the riot they had when it closed Saturday night. We were at the casino. Police everywhere. Gangs of people streaming into the casino. Near fights everywhere. Screaming, harrassment of others at the casino. Ameristar knows that it's gambling that keeps the doors open and a bunch of unruly thugs won't pay the bill. Close the place down

• It was stupidly expensive and far away, but some of the best looking decked out hotties in the STL area were there for sure. BUT It doesnt help when you have security guards kicking in the bathroom stalls... people who are willing to pay a $20 dont like being interrupted in the bathroom. Even if certain activities are a direct threat to the gaming license ....

• truth is stl sucks and no club will ever survive. you have people like robert cowan thinking a club full of sloppy house heads with $10 in their pockets would save home. sol is not a club, its a lounge that costs nothing sustain which is the only reason its still open. clubs in miami survive because people pay to get in and they spent lots of money inside on drinks at the bar and vip bottle service. the people in this city are never satisfied. they can't simply enjoy a night out without bashing everything they see or hear. plus they want everything for cheap or free. so basically you have a town full of lame, broke haters which is why the nightlife scene will always blow in stl. home was not a perfect venue but if you actually paid attention and appreciated quality you'd realize there aren't a lot of clubs in the country with sound, lights and decor like that. they had a nice mix of acts like some of the biggest electronic djs- guetta, deadmau5, tiesto, pvd, sharam and other popular acts like pitbull, dj pauly d, lmfao, etc. check out the type of acts the major clubs book in vegas/miami then compare to home's bookings and you'll see how legit home was. home was a vegas style experience in every way except it was located in stl aka the toilet of the us. stl was too full of itself and ignorant to realize how lucky they were.

• Who cares should of never open in the first dj music sucks big time. Go rock n roll bands yes one for the live music venue. Very happy to hear this made my day

• I foretold their demise on facebook. Saint Louis can not sustain upscale dress code enforced clubs at this juncture and originally bill them as a dance club then de-evolve into a hiphop boring fest. They scoffed at my idea to turn the club into a relaxed dress house music club as they put it and i quote "the demand is not great enough". Well it looks like it wasn't great enough to support the crappy djs you billed to save money and elitist behavior didnt help either. The reason clubs like this survive in miami is because they have so many of them. Case in point have an elitist wannabe hip-hop club and host electro acts every once in awhile you will get shut down. Bravo at least Sol nightclub is still kicking.

• I hate seeing them close due to the fact there were so many great performers to give a good show. Home was classy and upscale, it's kind of disappointing the doors are closing but I'm glad I had the chance to be present and get my party on.
