• MANwich. for obvious reasons. but mostly because "a sandwich is a sandwich but a manwich is a meal."

• a vegan reuben is my favorite sandwich ever. the chicago diner makes a killer one, and i'm excited to try some of the ones in st louis after moving here.

• My favorite sandwich is a meatless and vegan grilled cheese with tomatoes and guacamole. I know it's not native to St. Louis, but I am always craving this goodness of gooey-liciousness. I fell in love with this sandwich while living in the Pacific Northwest, and I�m happy to make it for any of my friends in St. Louis.

• Nothing can defeat the ol' turkey sandwich. Smoked turkey is best, and I do mean SMOKED. Get that flavor in there good and deep. I'm sayin' the turkey should taste like how Bettye LaVette's voice sounds. Put that between a couple slices of wheat bread (so you'll grow up big and strong!), but before that take a moment to think about adornments. Fist, go Hellmann's, or go home. Next, drizzle on some mustard, and then a little honey. The Man wants you to buy honey mustard, but I say do it separately for a little more juxtaposition between the tangy and sweet flavors. Slide in a slice of your favorite cheese (provolone happens to be a proven choice). Top with a piece of romaine lettuce. Lay down a pickle spear on the side (and it had better be CRISP!). And you're done. Commence nomming.

• Nothing brings me back like an old fashioned double down. Ma used to run after that chicken all morning, and when she finally caught the clucker, would chop his head clean off-one slice! Then ma'd fry up fresh bacon and slice a wedge from our cheese wheel. Add two pieces of bread and two fried chicken breasts and yer done.

• AH! Darn. Sorry Danielle Zeis you beat me to it.

• Classic grilled cheese with one side more crispy than the other.

• Two Words: MAMMER JAMMER (I prefer the Big John). BEST sandwich in Saint Louis. If you've never had it or heard of it, put google to work. You'll thank me later. Enjoy!

• Oh man, picking my favorite sandwich is like picking my favorite child. Of course, I don't have any children so I guess it's going to be easier than I thought. The Reuben. Whether corned beef style or the recently ravished tilapia version, this sandwich can do no wrong by me. Everything about it is so right, it feels wrong violating it the way that I often do. But a sandwich as good as the Reuben just brings that out of me.

• My favorite sandwich is peanut butter and banana on whole wheat bread. But, in honor of London Calling, I don't really enjoy eating it. I just like to take pictures of it and pretend that it's fun to eat it.

• grilled cheese. dude, it doesn't get better than a classic grilled cheese.

• Toasted sourdough. Crunchy peanut butter. Raspberry jam with seeds. Chocolate milk to wash it down. One of the most versatile sandwiches. Works for any meal, any time of day. Some people say they get sick of too much PB&J, but I think they're cutting corners with the recipe. Get yourself a good loaf of sourdough and you can live on PB&J. I know the chocolate milk isn't part of the sandwich, but consider it a bonus recommendation. PS: powder > syrup.

• Have lots of sandwiches I love, but my fav is salami and provolone on sourdough with a bit of mayo. Maybe not the healthiest, but it is my fav b/c 1) It reminds me of my carefree childhood (mom used to make my siblings & me salami sandwichs often on her delicious homemmade bread!) 2) It's just sooo good! Thanks! Would LOVE these passes! :) ~gt
