Kid Congo Powers has a rather sterling c.v.: The Gun Club. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The Cramps. As of late, he's been touring and recording with a new group, Kid Congo Powers & the Pink Monkey Birds. That act is coming to St. Louis on Monday, September 13, playing at CBGBs. Bob Reuter's Alley Ghost is opening. As always, the show is free -- but expect to pass the hat. KCP released a record, Dracula Boots, last year.
