Bagheera Returns to the Stage Tomorrow, With Lemuria and the Humanoids
On Thursday, December 30, Bagheera -- the project of Heather and Theodore Moll -- returns to the stage at Off Broadway. Earlier this year, Theodore Moll told me that the band is recording two albums of material, although it's not rushing anything.![]()
"We're taking our time and working on one part here and one part there as time allows," he wrote in an email. "In some ways, it gives us a lot of perspective on the project as a whole. We can really step back and see how everything is fitting together. It definitely gives us more critical listening time, which sometimes is compromised in a rushed studio situation."
On Facebook the band promises that at Off Broadway, it's "debuting a lot of new and relatively new songs."
Be sure to show up on time to see Lemuria. Why?
The trio is creating some of the catchiest, delicious fuzz-pop around -- and judging by new songs from the forthcoming Pebble LP, there's more of a jagged punk edge to this new music. (Perhaps Pebble's producer, J Robbins, brought that out of the band.) You can stream new songs at the band's MySpace.
The Humanoids are also on the bill.
