The Worst Cover of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb." Ever. [Video]

Categories: WTF

Hey, you: Perhaps you missed Roger Waters' recent restaging of The Wall, but need tiding over before El Monstero's multi-night stand at the Pageant. Or perhaps you hate Pink Floyd and would like to see them banished from collective memory. Either way, have we got the clip for you. Behold this exquisitely inept cover of "Comfortably Numb," which has been making the YouTube rounds over the last day or so.

Performed live by a luckily nameless band in front of an equally nameless music store, it's hard to describe just how magical this is in its atrociousness.

Is it the two pumpkins serving as stage props? The band's matching stonewashed jeans? The surly lead singer, who appears to be begging someone to criticize his whiny voice so he can beat them up? The climactic guitar solo, here played so off-key and randomly as to resemble Jandek instead of David Gilmour? The fact that said solo is greeted with derisive laughter? Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have found the classic-rock version of the Shaggs.
