Chuck Berry gave fans quite a scare in Chicago on New Year's Day, when he was forced to cut his show at the Congress Theater short due to exhaustion. Such a cancellation is exceedingly rare for Berry, who's known for being punctual and a man of his contractual word. It's also very worrisome, especially because the rock & roll legend is 84 years old.

A to Z rang up Joe Edwards for an update on Berry's health, and he confirmed that the rocker is doing fine:

"He's in great spirits and great health," Edwards says.

So, it's all systems go for Berry's January 19 show at Blueberry Hill's Duck Room?

"All systems go," Edwards says. "If anything, I think people are going to see one heck of a dynamic show."

There you go. Stay tuned here on A to Z on Thursday morning for a recap of Wednesday night's concert.
