The Joy Formidable Coming to the Luminary Center for the Arts

Categories: This Just In

And so the spring deluge continues apace: On April 22, the Joy Formidable will be playing at the Luminary Center for the Arts. Formed in North Wales (but based in London for the moment), JF is a trio rooted in shoegaze, post-punk and the Pixies. Vocalist Ritzy Bryan is a banshee from beyond, a dreampop siren with bite. Fans of Lush and the Breeders will adore. The band's new album, The Big Roar, is out today in the UK, and March 15 in the U.S. Tickets are on sale at 8 a.m. Friday. By the way: According to an email from the publicist, the Lonely Forest should be opening the show.
