Arcade Fire Actually Coming to St. Louis? [Update: Yes!]

[Update, 2:45 p.m. February 23: This show just confirmed! It's at the Concert Club at Scottrade Center -- i.e., a smaller sectioned-off version of the venue. Ticket prices are TBA but are on sale March 5 at 11 a.m.!]

Well, isn't this interesting: Twitter user @megcat79 just noticed that the National's website lists an April 21 date at the Scottrade Center here in St. Louis -- with newly minted Grammy winners Arcade Fire. Now, the latter's own site has nothing about this concert yet -- but April 21 is between an April 20 stop in Kansas City and a three-night stand in Chicago, so the date is open. Still, this show should be considered unconfirmed until the venue gives us official word. Stay tuned to A to Z for confirmed information if and when we get it...

Does anyone else think Arcade Fire should talk to the people at Scottrade so they can play Intervention on the building's organ? At Blues games as the team is walking from the locker room to the ice, they hold a low note and my mind always braces to hear Intervention. It'd be pretty awesome, methinks.

i'd rather the national play the pageant. now we'll get all the wanna be 'winners' who watched the grammys showing up and knowing literally two songs. can't wait.

The National played the Pageant in September. It was spectacular. If you are worried of "Grammy-lameos," then just get in front and dance the night away. That's what I will do.

Arcade Fire. The National is the opening act. However, the latter leaked this date on their website last weekend; the venue/Arcade Fire didn't confirm that this show was happening until yesterday.

Okay so it needs to be announced soon or else alot of us will probably be forced to get tickets for the Kansas City show. And I don't think I'm gonna feel like taking a road trip that day.

odd they would play memphis, kc, stl, and chicago. thats 6 fairly close midwest shows in large venues, bonnaroo as well if you want to count that one.

It was just confirmed on Us Kids Know's Facebook page. "Arcade Fire show! April 21st - St. Louis, MO - Scottrade Center. Special guest: The National. Not sure why it wasn't part of the recent tour announcement."
