Beatle Bob: Not a Grammy Winner

If you'll recall, Healthy Food For Thought: Good Enough To Eat -- an album to which Beatle Bob contributed -- was nominated for a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children. While Bob wouldn't get an actual Grammy statue if the album won, he would get a certificate.

The honor was not meant to be, however.

Heatlhy Food was beaten out by Julie Andrews' Collection Of Poems, Songs, And Lullabies. Andrews also won a Lifetime Achievement Award, so she had a pretty good night.

In an email sent out to his mailing list, Beatle Bob didn't seem too upset; in fact, he seemed more thrilled that Paul McCartney nabbed a statue for a live version of "Helter Skelter" and about the fact that the Beatles also won a Grammy for Best Historical Album.

"It was nice just to be included on a Grammy nomination night, the same time both The Beatles and Paul McCartney were nomnated," he wrote.
