Esperanza Spalding Wins "Best New Artist" Grammy, Wikipedia Page Immediately Hacked

The 2011 Grammy Awards are still going strong, two and a half hours into the broadcast. Jazz bassist/singer Esperanza Spalding just won Best New Artist -- frankly, a huge shock, as she beat out Justin Bieber and she's, uh, not exactly a new artist. (Let's be clear, though: Spalding is deserving of the honor, as she's insanely talented.) Naturally, as soon as she won, some funny pranksters decided to do a time-honored thing: ~~hack~~ inappropriately edit her Wiki page. A few minutes after she won, here's how her page looked:

Almost immediately, it was taken down. But for a brief moment, anti-Bieberites had their moment in the sun.

I realize Grammy Awards almost stay in controversies due to different different reasons...

yeah total bullcrap she won...she was not deserving...i believe this was fix cause no jazz artist had won the award before, she is not a new artist, she has albums back 5 years ago, and justing beiber and Drake are both better artist that she is...there was a reason why when they was calling names out for nominees, justin and drake had the whole crowd shaking the roof tops from there cheers, and she only had a few claps, which was probably from justin and drake just being good sports about the whole thing...what ever though, cause they both will win way more awards than she will in her career...

The sad thing is, Hawk28_linkinparkisgod is right: usually, the winner of The best New Artist Grammy is never heard from again or has a career that doesn't last as long as the artist that didn't win said Grammy. Justin might just be around a lot longer than her (the same thing happened to Norah Jones: she still makes great music, but she hasn't been popular for years now as she was back in the early 2000's when she won her Grammy over Avril Lavine.)
