Godfathers St. Louis Show Postponed Due to Visa Issues [Update with Rescheduled Date]

Categories: This Just In

[Update, February 10 at 11:55 a.m. This show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 22. The opening acts are the same and tickets for last night's postponed show will be honored. $12 advance tickets will be on sale again this afternoon. Tickets are $15 at the door.]

The Godfathers' February 9 show at Off Broadway has just been postponed due to visa issues, according to the venue. "It will be rescheduled ASAP. Stay tuned!" says venue owner Steve Pohlman. No word yet on how this will affect the rest of the band's U.S. tour, its first in two decades. Until then, a snippet from a new song -- and an old favorite.

I am pretty sure it is a visa problem, I know they were looking forward to the tour.

Saw these guys a bunch in the 80's. Great live band even without Kris Dollimore (we used to call him the Keith Moon of guitar). I hope "visa issues" doesn't translate to "low pre sales so let's jsust stay home".

Oy vey. Thought this might be too strange and good to be true, that the Godfathers would resurface of all places here. well, maybe they still will, and revise their mantra to "Birth. School. Work. Visa problems. Death."

They've got a history of cancelling gigs last minute. Did the same last time they tried to tour the US a couple of years back letting a lot of people down, especially those who had bought flight tickets and hotels coming over from the UK

When I interviewed Peter Coyne, he was all excited about their St. Valentine's Day Massacre Show in NYC. I didn't get the impression that he'd want to miss it. Plus it seemed to me that they were aiming at just the right level with the Off Broadway-capacity venues. So who knows?

St Louis, Milwaukee and Ohio all cancelled. Lousy ticket sales is the problem.....
