The Concert for George Prize Pack came today! THANK YOU Riverfront Times! Everything is great, I especially love the Concert for George program. I am a graphic designer so I can really appreciate the design and effort put into that piece. The Blu Ray is unbelievable, I never got to see the entire concert and the bonus material is great as well. The "Drummers" interview was amazing!

On top of that I am sharing the prizes with 2 other big George Harrison fans. The CD is going to my Father and the tshirt is being given to a girl I know that loves George as much as I do. Thank you again RFT, you've made our year!

"Something" - Because my mum used to sing and teach me this song when I was a child. We are from Spain, so it was pretty hard for her to learn the lyrics. But she did it anyways. She instilled me her love, afection and admiration for the most amazing and inspiring musician of all times. And that, I'd like to transmit to my children. Sorry for my bad English, but I tried to do my best. Thanks George for your music :)

'All Those Years Ago', since he wrote it as a tribute to John Lennon.

It's really hard for me to pick a favorite, as I love so much of George's catalog, and if you ask me on another day I might give you a different answer, but for today I'll say, "Here Comes the Sun". The first rock concert I ever saw was George Harrison and the LA Express at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY way back in 1974, but it seems like yesterday, and there's not a week that goes by that I don't find myself humming or singing one of his songs and realizing how much I miss his physical presence on this planet, but I am at least grateful for all he left behind for all of us to enjoy till the end of time. Thank-you George! Mark Carroll ushpa2@yahoo.com

"All my loving" - My dad always sang this to me when I was a little girl. Now I sing it to my babies when I rock them to sleep. Jill Hammond.

A hard choice but anytime I hear 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', I immediately stop what I'm doing and absorb that voice and melody. It almost puts me in a trance, it's so soothing. I love it.

While my Guitar Gently Weeps. Beautiful lyrics and guitar. Really cannot go wrong with a Harrison or Beatles song.

Here Comes The Sun, because I listened to it many mornings after staying up all night back in the "good 'ol Days" of college before going to bed.

"Something" is my favorite song of his. I first heard the song when I was around 9 I think and I didn't know much of English but the song's arrangement had "something" to it that I couldn't describe. Thanks!

Run Of The Mill from All Things Must Pass (I like the Beware of ABKCO cut better bc it's smaller and more heart felt)

I love the song bc of the raw emotionality. Being a huge George Harrison fan and knowing his history (whats available on the internets) you get answers of how George felt after all of those events he went through in 1969/70 with the Beatles, Patti, and life in general. Just a great song. Would of loved to see George rerecord a version of Run Of The Mill but we have Beware of ABKCO and All Things Must Pass so what more can you ask for really?

But it's hard to pick a favorite, that one just sticks with me for some reason. I love all of his Beatles stuff obviously, especially Old Brown Shoe and I Me Mine) but the stand outs to me are little unfinished numbers like, "I Don't Care Anymore" "Nowhere To Go" and "Window Window". Just too many to chose from. He was right up there with John and Paul. It always baffles me how he takes a back seat to them bc he was so good on top of being such a genuine human being. We love ya George, we miss ya, you won't soon be forgotten.

My name is Matthew Giorgio and my email is mgga99@gmail.com.

Thank you.

"Any Road" such a sweet song. Can't help smiling whenever I hear it. Just speaks to me...

Brian

"Isn't It a Pity", because it synthesizes his pop and Indian influences so beautifully. It takes three chords and repeats them like a mantra, then goes on to build this enormous musical edifice around those chords, in one of the great examples of how even the simplest of musical ideas or expressions contain possibilities that are infinite. Also, the words are classic George; equal parts love and cynicism.

"while my guitar gently weeps"- Reason being it is so powerful you can hear the guitar singing to you like it is actually weeping. Sad but powerful song. I love it!
