Alison Krauss, the bluegrass singer whose steller career has hit mainstream peaks with appearances on the O Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack and a recent collaborative album with Robert Plant, will be playing in St. Louis later this year. Her Paper Airplane Tour comes to the Fabulous Fox Theatre on September 22nd. Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Friday, April 22nd through the Fox box office or online at metrotix.

She'll be touring with her band Union Station, with which she first recorded in 1987, when the singer was sixteen. They'll be supporting their new album, also called Paper Airplane, which came out yesterday on Rounder Records. Watch the official video for the title track below.

AWESOME...about freakin' time. I don't think they've been in STL since 2003 or so. My credit card will be getting a workout next week between this show and Fleet Foxes!
