Lawn Tickets For Jill Scott's Summer Block Party Now Available For $21
Jill Scott will be playing the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on August 4th with Anthony Hamilton, Mint Condition and DJ Jazzy Jeff. Scott, a poet turned soul singer of the highest caliber, achieved unprecedented (for her) chart success with this year's The Light of the Sun -- a perfect accompaniment to pretty much any kind of warm-weather shindig. It's fitting then, that this tour has been constructed as a Summer Block Party, with DJ sets and general merriment. Inasmuch as it is possible to make a giant venue feel like someone's backyard, this tour is trying. 
Live Nation has released lawn tickets for $21 -- they get well into the $100 range for seats up close. But if ever there were a concert where the lawn might actually be preferable to the seats, this is it. Sunscreen, blankets, etc: This should be a hell of a good time.
