Wilco at the Peabody: Ticket Presale and Other Show Information

wilcopoint.jpeg
You can start buying Wilco tickets on Thursday, and we're guessing you'll want to act quickly. For those of you just tuning in, Wilco is playing at the Peabody Opera House on October 4th in support of its new album, The Whole Love. That comes out on September 27th, so you'll have plenty of time to learn all the words. Anyway:

The pre-sale goes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. this Thursday, July 14th. You can buy tickets at this link with the password IMIGHT.

Reserved seats cost $37 plus a $3 facility fee. General sale begins Friday, July 15th at 11 a.m., at which point you can buy up to four tickets at the Scottrade Center Box Office, any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, by phone at 800-745-3000, or on the Ticketmaster web site.

The four-ticket max isn't the only scalper deterrent in place: Pre-sale tickets are will call only, so you'll have to show your ID the night of the show to get in. Suck it, after-market leeches.

General sale tickets will not be will-call only, but the four-ticket max still applies.

Nick Lowe will open. This show is just three nights after the Peabody's Grand Re-Opening on October 1st, which will feature Jay Leno and Aretha Franklin. We believe that's what you refer to as "coming out swinging."

no problem! too many pre-sales make for confusing on sales.

"suck it after market leeches", or "suck it people who are buying these as a gift for someone else", or "suck it people who have a friend coming in from out of town and want their ticket ahead of time", or "suck it people who have a last minute emergency and want to recoup some of the money".

Tough to make it work for everyone all at once, but I have to think this beats the scalping rushes we've seen with shows like this in the past.
